Sites and
Buildings
If you are interested in locating a business operation in either
southwestern New York or northwestern Pennsylvania, and wish to have
your business operation served by freight rail shipping, STERA, WNYP,
and various county and municipal economic development organizations and
officials can show you developable industrial, warehousing,
distribution, commercial, and logistics sites and buildings, plus also
transloading facilities for sites and/or buildings not located adjacent
to rail lines. Sites and buildings in the six-county region in NYS
and PA served by WNYP can offer the following advantages:
proximity to eastern seaboard metropolitan areas and ports; access to
I-90 (i.e., the NYS Thruway), I-86, I-390, and other major highways; and
access to Norfolk Southern, CSXT, Canadian National, Canadian Pacific,
and other rail carriers.
If you wish to build a new facility for your
operations, many buildable sites are pre-qualified and permitted.
For additional information and to arrange site and / or building tours,
please contact Tom Barnes at 716-945-5550 ext 209 or
tbarnes@southerntierwest.org.
STERA will respond to your inquiry with discretion and professionalism.
STERA works closely with state and local
economic development agencies to assemble packages of funding assistance
and other incentives for new and expanding businesses that will be
served by our railroad operator WNYP.
